Friends and family, Paul is going to have a lot more responsibility come mid November 2014 because a little sibling is on the way! We are so excited to be expecting another little blessing.
A critical decision when getting married is not just who you will marry, but do you agree on the issues of children and family life. The most important aspect of course is not what his or her opinion is, but do you both agree to embrace God’s opinion and love for children. Since the beginning of our marriage we felt led to trust the Lord with the size of our family and welcome every blessing that He would give to us.
Children are such a reward from the Lord as it states in Psalm 127:3-5: “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”
Children are such a blessing even though they are also a lot of responsibility. We desire to allow these pressures to draw us closer to the Lord. Someone once said that you can let problems and challenges either draw you closer to each other or drive you further apart. This is true with our spouse as well as with the Lord. Recently, Priscilla shared a few thoughts on what she has been learning. Listen below:
